Alienware unveils its latest powerful gaming laptops

Alienware, known for its specialization in high-performance PC gaming systems announced its latest and most powerful gaming laptops on Friday last week. They are Alienware 14, 17, and 18.


All three laptops feature a new, iconic, angular design that takes its cues from jet engines and stealth bombers with an anodized aluminum shell and magnesium alloy body. 


These three models comes with full voltage, quad-core 4th generation Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce 700 series graphics and DDR3L memory. The models also feature Ethernet technology by Qualcomm’s Killer networks, Klipsch speakers and Dolby Home Theater v4 audio.


Alienware 14





The Alienware 14 is equipped with an anti-glare LCD display with wide viewing angles for reflection-free gaming in nearly any lighting condition. There is also an option to choose Full HD panel with IPS. It can support up to three storage drives.


Alienware 17 and 18





Alienware 17 has an optional 3D display panel while the Alienware 18 will feature a Full HD display with PLS wide viewing-angle technology. Both models supports four storage drives.The Alienware 18 will feature NVIDIA SLI dual graphics technology as standard and offers an overclocked CPU option with a maximum speed of 4.3Ghz.

SHINE Youth Festival 2013

The SHINE Youth Festival 2013 is here with a bigger and better line-up that has doubled from 2012. This year, 40 SHINE partners are gearing up to deliver exciting programmes. The theme this year is #FreeYourYou which encourages youths to act on their passion and champion causes for the community. Into its ninth year, SHINE 2013 will held from 29th June 2013 to 27th July 2013.

Limited Edition Man of Steel EZ-Link Cards

Inspired by the highly-anticipated superhero action picture featuring the beginning of Superman’s journey to self-discovery, which opens in cinemas this week, EZ-Link is offering the opportunity for commuters to exchange any valid MRT card in their wallet for the Limited Edition “Man of SteelTM“ EZ-Link cards from 14th June 2013 onwards. 

The card exchange can be done at any of the 10 selected TransitLink Ticket Offices at a cost of only $5.00.

During the exchange, any remaining monies on the old MRT card will be refunded to the card holder. If the remaining monies is less than S$7, the card holder will be required to top-up a minimum of $7 to the new “Man of SteelTM“ EZ-Link card. 

A card holder can exchange as many cards as desired, but strictly subject to the availability of stocks. The exchange does not apply to co-brand cards, cards with Autoload/EZ-Reload facility and concession cards.

Samsung GALAXY S4 Zoom with 10x Optical Zoom

Samsung today brought some good news to those who are anticipating the launch of the GALAXY S4 zoom. A device that combines GALAXY S4 smartphone with advanced photographic features. It is set to replace that camera in your bag.


According to Samsung, the device will reach Singapore shores sometime in Q3 2013.
